From 2002 to 2005 we lived in Pretoria, South Africa. It is a stunningly beautiful country and the perfect backdrop to our monthly safari expeditions. We were lucky to see "the big five" and have amazing memories of seeing a lion kill a wildebeest, watching weaver birds build and tear down their complicated nests and waking up in a huge colonial African bed covered by gauzy mosquito nets to the sound of elephants - a part of Africa will always live in our hearts.
